Thanks for the great gifts...

Dani, Gary, and Makenzie bought Isaiah a football uniform for his birthday. Unfortuately it didn't get here while they were here...but it is here now and he loves it! He makes me wear the helmet (it fits since I have a tiny head)! But he loves to play football. Thanks Aunt Dani, Uncle Gary, and cousin Makenzie!!

And...Tita and Jaja bought Isaiah a bike for his birthday. Little did they know that Hoppy would love it too! She tries to climb on it all day long!! She is such a climber like her brother...I am in trouble!!!

Christmas Shopping

I offically started Christmas shopping today. I know...most people are already done and I am just starting. Between Thanksgiving, birthday's and doctor's appoinments...I haven't had much time.

I went to the mall today for a little bit with my Mom and the kiddos and I also did some online shopping.

So for all of you out there that we buy gifts for....if you have any ideas let me know. It will make my life so much easier and you will get what you want!

The stores are not that crowded...I wonder if it is different here than in Buffalo. It was always packed there and I don't see that rush here. Maybe it is just on the weekends...but I try and avoid going then.

I am going to go out tomorrow morning too while my Mom watches the kids to see if I can accomplish more than worrying about who has to eat when and how to keep them occupied as I shop.

Happy Shopping everyone!

Our House

Here's what has been happening at the Socha's:

* The kids and I have been going to our allergist appointments.

* I joined the MOM's club (after going with my sister in law in Florida) and went to a play group with the kids. Isaiah had so much fun! There were not that many people there since this time of year is so crazy. January will bring more activites!

* I have been trying new cookie recipes and have found some good ones...will post at a later time.

* Dave just decided to go the Hong Kong on Sunday...so my mom is coming out Monday afternoon...so by myself for a little while.

* ACTUALLY...we found a great babysitter through our friends Randy and Rachael. So she is coming to help out on Sunday while Dave is gone. Isaiah loves her! And Hope likes her as long as she is not holding her. She came yesterday and I got to go shopping for a little bit...well with Hope. I had to get their outfits for their Christmas pictures. It is a lot easier shopping with one. OH AND GAP IS HAVING THEIR FRIENDS AND FAMILY THIS WEEKEND...30% OFF!!

*And finally...just getting ready for next week....Thanksgiving, my birthday and Isaiah's birthday!...That week will always be a busy one in our house. So if I am quiet...that is why.

Presley's Birthday Party

Presley turned 2 yesterday but, her party was today.

We were off to a rough start because Hope would not nap. She finally fell asleep after I put her in the car...she was awake for 4 hours!! Then we drove around but Isaiah was getting restless...and I couldn't blame him. So we went to the party early (Jill had told us to come early...we didn't just show up!)

Isaiah and Presley had such a great time playing! Then...we ate lunch...and I bought Isaiah's from home...but somehow he ended up with a rash around his mouth. So I had to keep watching his mouth to make sure it didn't get worse. It ended up getting better...but it is so scary.

Then came the presents...Isaiah sat nicely on my lap and watched her. He was in shock I think. He did know which present was from us and he really wanted to open it and play with it (he has been eying that thing all week!). Then he did get down and really look at some of her gifts and try and help her open them.

I told him he will get gifts for his birthday in 2 weeks....Now he is excited!!

We didn't stay for the cake because my kids were soooo tired...and they needed their naps! And that is where they are now....ahhhh peace and quiet!! Ha Ha!!

I didn't get to take pictures because I was holding Hope. She would just look at some man and cry! But Jill is so good about sending me some...so I will post them when I have them.

My Day

Both kids screaming and crying at the same time...and both wanting to be held at the same time. This was for a about an hour this morning.

So I was happy when nap time came although it only lasted for a half an hour. Better than nothing!

I would like to get a jump start on Christmas Gifts....

So please send me any ideas you have for yourself or for family members.

I have to start thinking about it because November gets kind of crazy with my birthday, then Thanksgiving, Isaiah's 2ND birthday, getting Christmas pictures taken and.....lots more!

I am getting out my list of people we buy for and also my Christmas card list. So people that have moved within the last year...please email me your new address!

Thanks in advance for all your help!!

P.S. Socha family...what are we doing for gift exchange this year?? Are we donating again to a charity or choosing names to buy gifts for couples?? Let me know!

Know anything that works??

I am trying to wean Isaiah off the bottle. He still drinks his milk out of a bottle. I have tried every sippy cup there is but he wont budge...he has a stubborn streak. I have tried warming it up, putting a little chocolate syrup in it...but nothing works. Any ideas or anything that has worked for you??

Take 5

This is the footage I wanted you to see of our crazy little girl. I guess you can only upload 30 seconds and the rest gets cut off. It only took me five tries to get it. Everytime I turned on the camera, she stopped what she was doing and came for me. She is standing in her crib too! Now if I can just teach her to sit back down...it will be all good.

Here is the kiddos playing together too! They are so cute together and Isaiah is such a good big brother!

Plans

Today I was all excited for the kids to take a nap. I was going to put Isaiah down and D was going to nap with Hope. Well...whenever I seem to have a good idea...Isaiah decides not to take a nap. He sat in his room for 3o minutes reading his books but then he wanted out. So I couldn't run to the store and buy what I needed to make this new cookie recipe I saw. Because I had to watch the kids while Dave rested (because our kids don't sleep!).

I guess I will have to wait until nap time this week or next weekend! Sorry D!

We couldn't believe it...

Last night Dave and I were laying in bed and all of the sudden we heard a really loud thump. We had no idea what it was but, when we checked Isaiah...he had fallen out of his bed. Now we didn't even think it was possible because he has a siderail on his bed and the opening is not that big....but somehow he managed to fall out.

We were laughing hysterically because he didn't even wake up. The kid that is up all night and cries out during the night...didn't even notice. I even picked him back up and put him back in his bed and he didn't even notice. It was too funny!

What we have been watching lately...

Well Hi-5 is on the sidelines lately. Isaiah has a new favorite show. He has had this DVD for awhile but didn't like it as much until his cousin Ana watched it all the time. Now all he asks for it froggy...but I am not complaining...he is learning his letters and his sounds. Actually, he knew his letters before this video so now we are working on the sounds! How exciting! It is such a great product and cute video.
