Our Family

Dave needed a new picture for his cell phone screen since he is traveling a little. So he took this one. I thought it turned out pretty good for a crazy morning!

Happy Birthday Baby Girl!!

Can you believe that Hope is already 1?? I can't believe it! (Actually she will be one in 17 minutes...ha ha....she was born at 6:50pm!)

Happy Birthday Hope. You are such a sweet little girl with a never ending smile. We love you so much! We love every minute with you and love to see you change and grow everyday.

We are celebrating Hope's birthday on Saturday so we will post lots of pictures then...especially the cake ones! :)

Seriously

This week has been crazy. We scheduled a lot of appointments this week (well in advance) and almost every single one has called to change the date or time. It has been so weird and requires me to be flexible!!

Seriously all three allergist appointments, the cleaning lady (to clean for Hope's birthday party because I don't have time), and a moving company coming for a quote!!

Has this happened to anyone else???

Update on Hope's Walking

Well...she turned the corner and is now walking more than crawling. She started on Easter Sunday! She is still a little wobbly but very persistent on walking everywhere.

We must be doing something right...

Hope is so adorable and sweet. She has learned to pray with us at mealtimes. We always say "lets pray Jesus" and she holds her hands together. Today...when I put her in her highchair for lunch I started to feed her...and she put her hands together all on her own and grunted at me to pray. She is so smart! Then after we are done praying she waits for all the kisses!! (That is our family ritual...we kiss everyone after we pray!)

Although sometimes she gets the words "pay" and "pray" mixed up like when we are at Target and I ask Isaiah to help me pay...she prays! Ha ha!

Isaiah on the other hand has been fighting praying. He yells "no pray" or while we are praying he yells "Amen!" At least he still waits for the kisses!

**UPDATED**
I should add that Isaiah does say please, no thank you, and bless you when you sneeze! So he is not that rude :)

Happy Easter from Our Family to Yours

We had a wonderful Easter day. It was a beautiful day here too.

We went down to Santa Monica to our church St. Monica's today for Easter mass. It was amazing. That is one thing we will truly miss when we move....The worship, the music, and the preaching....the whole package is so moving. We could only hope to find something like that where we are moving.

The kids were so great too! Isaiah and Hope love music and since we went to the gym for church (they are so big that they have 3 services going on at once) the music is always loud and captivates their attention. After communion we sat next to the band so Isaiah could watch all the instruments as they were being played...He loved it. He is so into music!

Mr. and Mrs. Socha met us as church along with Dave's cousins Sara and Luke. Then we went out to breakfast on Third Street. The kids were great again!

Of course after I went into Old Navy because they were having a big sale and that was the part where we started to have meltdowns. You can definitely tell when it is nap time and when the kids have had enough! It all worked out though...and lots of people saw me sprinting in a dress and high heels to catch Isaiah as he took off....man he is fast! (What a sight! I'm sure it was!)

Needless to say...he did not get his surprise and it caused a major meltdown...one lady let me cut her in line, while another said "I remember those days," and a third (male) asked if I wanted his surprise back. Absolutely not I told him....that behavior doesn't get rewarded in this house....I know I am the mean one :) Oh well...he will learn someday...right??

Here are some pictures of our day. I tried many, many times to get a good picture of the kids together...but this was all I got...

Me and Hope ready for church.
Isaiah loving the music.
Hope is loving it too. She was mesmerized by it. And of course with her Daddy....she LOVES him!
Here are the only two I got with the two of them!
Oh well....there is always next year!

Hope you all had a nice Easter with no meltdowns:)

Isaiah's New Moves

Here is what Isaiah has been up to lately.

He said he learned this from his Pa.

So Pa...do you have moves we have never seen?? Ha ha!

As Promised

Here is a short clip of Hope walking. It is only a few seconds long because my memory card is full, but you get the gist of it! :) I had a longer one, but I turned the camera to get a better view or so I thought. You would have to turn your computer to watch it...ha ha!

Here she goes!!!

Sneaking up on me...

Yesterday I realized that Easter is NEXT weekend! What?? I wasn't even thinking of Easter. We have been going through our Lenten season and then all got hit with some sort of illness and it has thrown everything off. Plus with Easter being so early this year, I am not prepared.

Hope and I ran to the mall today to find the kids some Easter outfits. Good thing my Mom reminded me I already had an outfit for Hope...one that was sent to us when she was born. But Isaiah....boys just totally wear out their clothes so I did find something for him...but I hope it fits. They really need to come up with a 2 1/2 size because 2 is too small and 3 is way to big (for pants anyway!)

And Mrs. Socha and I decided on Easter dinner but...I still have to shop and prepare for that.

I guess Easter has been on the back of my mind since we have decided to move. All I think about is how much we have to get done here to pack and all the things that need to be done in our new house before we move in. But I know everything will be fine so....I will just concentrate on Easter this week and our Lord's rising.

Shotgun!

I finally can sit in the front passenger seat again. We turned Hope to face forward (a couple weeks early...i know) but she LOVES it. You don't hear a peep out of her. Now I can sit next to my handsome husband and actually have a conversation without yelling...ahhh the little things.

(Sorry it is so dark...it is from my cell phone!)

So now...here's what you all really want...

pictures!

Here are some from Buffalo. I will try and get a video later this weekend or next week of Hope walking. Yesterday she walked across the room! She is still crawling more than walking but....she is getting better and wanting to walk so much more. It's great to just see her let go and go for it!

Hope loves that she can get into everything. She loved diving in the balls and rolling around.
Isaiah and Hope love to play in just their diapers! When I try and get them dressed in the morning...they run or crawl away as fast as they can!
Since we didn't see my family at Christmas time...the kids just got their gifts on this trip. Isaiah loves his fire truck. And he loves when Aunt Kerri plays with him in it. He would drive up and down the hallway in it making the siren noise. So cute!
And if you didn't know where Hope was....you knew she was in the fire truck because it would be moving and you couldn't see her!
One night Isaiah stole my camera and took LOTS of pictures of Grandma and Pa. He kept yelling "Pa Cheese." But Pa slept right through it!
Isaiah with his buddies and our new soon to be neighbors!
Hope getting ready to take off.
Ryder (Randy and Rachael's baby). I know he is in pink...but that was Hope's chair. He is such a good baby. He has the cutest, cubbiest thighs I have ever seen =)
Every time you lay on the ground....Hope will attack. She loves climbing on everyone. Here she is climbing on Pa.

Overheard this morning....

Dave: I now know what motherhood feels like and I hope I don't have to experience it again!

Isaiah and I have been sick with the flu and Dave has been doing everthing. Taking care of us and Hope, doing dishes, and laundry (to name a few). He is the best! We just keep praying that Dave and Hope stay healthy.

We are getting better but still not 100%. I have very little of a voice today. It keeps coming and going.

The only good thing about us being sick is that we have had a personal chef! Yes...everyday Mrs. Socha stops by with food. We have had homemade Chicken Noodle Soup, cabbage and I don't know how to spell the other foods because they are middle eastern foods...ha ha! Thank you so much!! That definitely helps us get better!

The Flu

Yup...I hoped that I would never have to say that word, but Isaiah has the flu. It is horrible. He just lays around all day on me. I hope that no one else gets it.

But my question is....my doctor prescribed Tamiflu for him?? Have any of you heard of it or taken it?? I am afraid to give it to him because of all the side effects?? Let me know. Thanks!
